Welcome to St. Mark’s
About Our Church
We blend the rich traditions of Episcopal liturgy with a commitment to emulate Christ’s words and actions in the world today. An open, affirming, multi-generational congregation, we are called from every walk of life to grow in God’s transformative love. All who seek to walk the Way of Love are welcome, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability or disability. God loves everyone. No exceptions!
We are a welcoming congregation, inviting all to join us for worship, service and learning. Our community outreach is robust. Many St. Mark’s members serve on boards, recruit volunteers and raise money for social justice, environmental and arts organizations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I go when I’m here?
Follow the sidewalk and enter through the red door. You will enter our main hall where you can sit wherever you’d like.
Where can I park?
You can park on the First St or S Jefferson St around the Church premises or in the back parking lot behind the building.
What can I expect from a service?
You will be able to get a service leaflet showing you what we will be talking about that week. During your time you may expect to hear traditional worship songs, see special ceremonial garments (called vestments) and hear a reading from the Book of Common Prayer.
Will I be pressured to give?
You are not obligated to give anything, and we are happy that you could come. We give with our service and connection.
Do I have to dress up to join?
At St. Mark's we are friendly and informal—you'll find men in ties and others in bermuda shorts; women in Birkenstocks and some in heels. Come as you are!
Do you have a children’s service?
We are an all-ages congregation and children are welcome to join us at one big service. We do not have a separate service at this time.
What happens if I’m late?
You are welcome to join whenever you can. Feel free to take a seat and you will still be greeted with a smile.
I’ve been “de-churched,” will I be welcome here?
All are welcome here. We understand that we are all on different parts of our journey. All we ask is that you come with an open-mind and a willingness to learn!
Feel free to ask questions, many of us combine prayer with personal practice and can find something right for you.
